The first afternoon session I attended was the Best of Reference. This is put on annually by the New York Public Library highlighting numerous reference books and the past few years, websites as well. This is a fun and informative session that is always packed.
The next program I went to was For the Love of Movies: FILM @ Your Library. Representatives from different libraries explained how they set up their film programs. There was also someone from Movie Licensing USA who explained about public performance rights. Just remember you need a license in order to show movies and do not include the title of the film in paid advertising. There were a number of handouts and info from Movie Licensing if anyone is interested.

Were there handouts on the movie nights. We are thinking of getting a public performance license and showing films. How do they charge for the rights by size of library, population,...? Maybe they didn't go into that?Was there anything unique in the way the libraries set up or advertised their movie programs?
I expect the best of reference list is on their website?
Movie Licensing USA gave out a packet of information. The website is www.movlic.com and their phone number is 1-877-321-1301 toll free. According to their information, the annual cost is based on patron numbers. Right now, you can access their information and get at least one of the handouts at the NYLA FILM Roundtable website at www.nyla.org.
As for the Best of Reference, you can access the list by going to www.nypl.org click on Branches, Click on Readers and Writers, then look on the right side and click on Best of Reference.
